Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT)CBT is a form of counselling or psychotherapy that works by helping people to change the way they think about themselves and about situations they find themselves in. It is a focused process and is orientated towards discovering the source of your upset and then finding practical solutions to help you think in more realistic and appropriate (and helpful) ways. In contrast to traditional analytic psychotherapy which might last for months if not years, CBT is relatively brief, lasting anywhere from 5 to 15 sessions.
